Loxton Annual Mardi Gras and Nippys Loxton Gift

Loxton celebrates its 54th Mardi Gras this year. The Mardi Gras is a family fun day, with money raised going towards community projects. Most years the event raises over $20,000.

Highlights on the Saturday include a pageant of floats (around 60-70), and bands, the crowning of the ambassadors and from 5pm, the Nippy's Loxton Gift an exciting program featuring top SA and interstate professional athletes.

Sunday includes a combined Church Service, various displays, and the Apex Fisharama.

9am - 1pm Food and Craft Stalls East Tce
9am - mid afternoon Extended trading for some shops Town precinct
9.30am - 3.30pm Collections Display Drabsch Street ajacent to Loxcare
10.30am Riverland Brass Band Loxton Rotunda
11.30am Opening Ceremony and Pageant East Tce
1pm South Australian Polive Band Loxton Rotunda
1.30pm Unley Concert Band  
2pm Prizes awarded to Floats, art and shop window displays
