News & Events
We would like to especially acknowledge the Riverland community for their enthusiastic support of the February 2020 Loxton 63rd Mardi Gras. We were pleased to be able to stage such a successful and popular event and, in the process, show the community’s appreciation with a sizeable donation to heroic fire fighters in the wake of last summer’s bushfires.
We look forward to continued community support during the 64th event next February. Our theme will be ‘Nature’ so everyone can let their creativity shine with a parade float.
Due to the smaller amount of funds raised this year and the Covid 19 situation, it has been decided that applications for community projects will not happen at this time. Our modest residual funds from this year will be rolled over to 2021.
The Loxton Mardi Gras 2020 AGM will be held on Thursday June 25 at the Loxton Club at 7:30pm, subject to the prevailing Covid-19 restrictions. Anyone wishing to attend should call Liz on 0418 803 650 to confirm their attendance so we can manage numbers in accordance with safety recommendations.
We look forward to strong community participation as we continue this long standing family festival into the future.
Thank you one and all.

Feedback and comments
Loxton 63rd Mardi Gras 2020 took place Saturday in Loxton with a street parade. Have to hand it to Loxton, when they put on a parade, they PUT ON a parade with it being a real community event. If you have never seen or been to the Loxton Mardi Gras, put it on your calendar for 2021. GS
Thanks for a great market site at the Mardi Gras. Being under the trees and on the lawn was fantastic.
Hope it was a successful day for you, as it was for me.
Cheers and thanks J M
